An animated Tableau viz attempting to determine the best ever bakers on the UK smash hit “The Great British Bake Off”. The viz is a scatter plot which charts the number of times a baker was in contention for best baker of the week (“Star Baker”) and the number of points they received on each week’s Technical Bake (Last place would be 1 point, second-to-last would be 2 points, etc).

The viz uses parameters and reference lines to create a dynamic color-changing interface, while the sliders allow viewers to manipulate how stringent the cut-off for being a “great baker” is.

Any way you slice it (haha!), it seems like Series 10’s Steph Blackwell and Series 12’s Giuseppe Dell’Anno are probably the best bakers the show has ever seen.
